Students will be provided with a strong foundation in the concepts, analysis techniques, and design methods underlying the development of modern information and software systems.
An integrated mix of disciplinary knowledge, design and experimentation, and research results in these six thematic focus areas: * Software design * Formal methods and program analysis * Algorithm design and complexity * Advanced planning and decision making * Decision support systems and their realization (Engineering Bayes) * Algorithmic data analysis (Big Data) The content of the study programme offers the opportunity of great flexibility to students, and to combine courses in individual study lines. Graduates qualify for PhD studies in the areas of the thematic focus areas and in a broad range of other subareas of computer science. Next to this our graduates are also in demand and find jobs in a great variety of industries and companies, such as: KLM (Royal Dutch Airlines) Google and Philips.
