This course is one of 11 themes within the Faculty of Engineering's multidisciplinary Postgraduate Training Package in Sustainable Engineering. The course allows students to come into contact with those in other engineering courses and thus develop multidisciplinary interests and skills.
The course consists of a selection of generic modules, such as Information Management, Design Management, Project Management, and specialist modules dealing with technology management, quality, logistics, manufacturing strategy and risk management. A special feature is a comparison of strategic technology management in various centres.
The course gives technologists a view of the role of technology in company strategy and the contribution of technology management to competitiveness. The course emphasises the relevance and usefulness of its content and uses examples from local and global companies.
The course is aimed at early-/mid-career managers in industry and/or technologists seeking to explore the role of technology in company competitiveness.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.

* MSc:
First- or second-class Honours degree from a UK university (or equivalent qualification) in engineering or a related discipline such as computer science. Candidates with lesser qualifications who have appropriate professional or industrial experience may also be eligible.
* PgDip:
Degree or good HND, or equivalent. Relevant industrial experience is valued. Depending on satisfactory progress, students may transfer from the Diploma to the Master's course.
English Language Requirements
In addition to academic qualifications, you must also be able to show that you have a sufficient grasp of English. If English is not your first language you will need to provide evidence of your proficiency before you can begin the course, and you are strongly advised to take the IELTS or the TOEFL test examination. The University's general entry requirements are IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 600 (including the Test of Written English), TOEFL 250 (computer based test) and TOEFL 100 (internet based test).
