Today, the existing economic structures are altered through innovation. Companies failing to rise to this challenge disappear from the market place. The ability to seize entrepreneurial opportunities will become a key qualification for executives and managers. The specialization in Entrepreneurship & Innovation communicates the appropriate skills and techniques teaching entrepreneurial thinking and acting. It is particularly at the interface between economics and technology that there lies a great deal of unexplored potential.
The Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and the Vienna University of Technology offer jointly a Professional MBA program of the highest international standard. This program builds a special potential for success by combining technological excellence and managerial performance competence.
The Professional MBA Entrepreneurship & Innovation is primarily targeted towards those individuals who operate at the interface between technology and economy, or who wish to do so in the future:

Didactic Design
The didactic design, consisting of pre-, core- and post-module work, ensures an efficient learning transfer while participants follow their professional career. Various pedagogical approaches such as case studies, presentations, group work, etc. are being used.
The part-time Professional MBA program offers participants to master the Business Core while ensuring a maximum flexibility to foster their individual needs and ambitions during the "Specialization" modules.During the Business Core part, the first six months, participants focus on comprehensive core general management knowledge and techniques as well as leadership.During the specialization part, lasting 12 to 18 months, participants may select one out of 11 specializations. The specialization modules allow participants to gain profound knowledge, competency and expertise in a chosen function or industry.
All specializations have been designed with the demands of current business practice in mind. Moreover, they aim to prepare participants for future changes arising from increasing environmental uncertainty and globalization. To this end, curricula have been developed by academics faculty in close cooperation with specialists and top executives from industry.
The Professional MBA Program comprises of general economic science modules and specialized in-depth modules.
The basic modules of economic science (referred to as the Business Core) raise all of the participants to a common level of sound, fundamental economic knowledge and serve as quality assurance for knowledge that has already been acquired.
After that the professional specialization and immersion in the subject matter take place. The final part of the MBA Program serves for the consolidation and integration of what has been learned, as well as the writing of a practically orientated masterthesis.
