The international MSc Economics of Public Policy and Management gives you the knowledge and expertise to take on complex social-economic questions around such issues as taxes, emigration, and welfare.
Economists play an essential part in public policy-making today. Those with the skills, expertise and multidisciplinary perspectives to understand complex economic issues around public policy - in areas like taxation, emigration, the environment and social welfare - are sought-after by public and private organisations. And the MSc Economics of Public Policy & Management provides you with the latest theory and perspectives arising at the meeting-point of economics and societal concerns. This one-year MSc is taught by leading experts whose research and practice combine economics with the social sciences. They will challenge you to think in a multidimensional way throughout your core courses (like empirical economics and public risk management) and your electives (like tax policy and energy & environmental economics), leading to your final thesis. 'I now work as a junior consultant at Ecorys, an international research and consultancy company. My employer was delighted to find out how many topics I covered during the MSc - it's been an enormous help in my career, and I find myself using the knowledge and skills that I gained daily.'- Mathijn Wilkens, alumnus
