The Victorian Times MA offers students an opportunity to study interdisciplinary approaches to the Victorian period. Prior to 2008, this course was titled MA Victorian Studies.

Signs of the Time in Victorian Britain; Radical Manchester 1819-1848; Byron and Byronism from Ireland to Russia; Pugin, Pre-Raphaelites and the Arts and Crafts; The Fin de Siecle; Constructions of The Sacred, The Holy and The Supernatural; The Stranger in Modern Society; Colonial and Postcolonial Experiences; Representing modernity: stage and screen cultures in Germany; Revising the History of Modern Britain; History and Postmodernism; William Blake and Victorian Culture; Popular Entertainment, 1820-1890; The History of Humanitarian Aid; 19th C Biosciences and Medicine; The Body in/and Representation; Henry James; Sexuality, Gender and Urban Culture; Reading Dickens; The City as History: Urban Spaces in Modern Europe.
