The MSc in Management is designed to enable non-management graduates to get ahead quickly in a wide range of management roles. This taught one-year programme offers students the opportunity to specialise in finance, marketing, human resource management or operations management, or follow a general management studies route.
Since its inception in 1996, the MSc in Management has acquired an international reputation as a prestigious master’s degree attracting top-class students from the world’s leading universities. It is ranked 6th in the UK in the Financial Times' ranking of the best European Masters in Management programmes (2011).
The MSc in Management is an intensive, demanding postgraduate degree and, as such, requires a high degree of commitment and motivation.

* Our full-time MSc degree in Management programme lasts 12 months
* Divided into two semesters and the dissertation period
* All students study the same five core courses in Semester 1
* Semester 2 consists of one further core course and four optional courses
Option to specialise
If you pass three taught courses plus a dissertation in a particular area of specialism you will graduate with one of the following combinations:
* MSc in Management with Finance
* MSc in Management with Marketing
* MSc in Management with Operations Management
* MSc in Management with Corporate Social Responsibility
* MSc in Management with Human Resource Management*
*For the MSc in Management with Human Resource Management (CIPD route), four taught units and a dissertation in HRM are required.
General route
If you choose options which result in you not having studied three courses from a particular specialism, or if the dissertation is in a different subject from the optional course taken, you will graduate with an MSc in Management.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testA good undergraduate degree (2:1 or above or its international equivalent) in any discipline except business. The minimum non-graduate qualifications acceptable for admission to the University of Bath are:
* A relevant postgraduate diploma (passed at the appropriate level); or
* A relevant professional qualification together with papers passed at an appropriate standard if required by the appropriate Head of Group; or
* Extended and responsible experience in a relevant field of industry, teaching or a government establishment with authorship of papers of an acceptable academic standard.
Please note a £50 application fee is required for this programme and this should be submitted with your application.
English Language
Candidates whose first language is not English will normally require an IELTS score of 7.0 with no less than 6.5 in each of the four components or an internet-based TOEFL score of 100 with no less than 24 in any one band.
