Programme Description

This is a course in basic radiological science for those holding a first degree in medical, physical, biological or sciences or radiography, who wish to deepen their knowledge of the basis of modern diagnostic imaging..

This course is delivered on a "core plus options" basis in order to allow candidates of different backgrounds to explore individual interests as far as possible, once the central core of basic imaging science has been covered. Students may choose to explore options in technology or clinical applications, depending on their interests. The examinations are structured to allow for these different approaches.

Teaching in Option 1 is by lecture class, supported by individual supervision, private study and work on a project, leading to a dissertation.
