The courses offered in the "public administration" field deal with innovative approaches to administrative modernization. These include networked administration and cross-border cooperation, new organizational and process models, the possibilities for structuring the relationship between the state and the economy, and the use of modern technologies.

The objective is to sensitize those who occupy positions of responsibility in public service or in public administration-related areas to the current state of flux affecting the state and public administration, to do so with an international and, particularly, European perspective, and to enable them to acquire a personal qualification profile.

This part-time programme (4 semesters) is dedicated to innovative management approaches to administrative modernisation. It focuses in particular on European integration and globalisation of public service and cross-boarder cooperation, public sector reforms and change programmes as well as technology and innovation. The programme is currently offered in German with selected lectures in English.

Lecturers and trainers are national and international experts from academia, public administration and the private sector who draw on experience, current research, and in particular good practice examples.
