This programme is designed for those who wish to extend their knowledge, qualifications, skills and expertise in this popular area of study. It provides postgraduate education and training opportunities for exercise, nutrition and health professionals, and also provides opportunities for those aspiring to work in this high-profile field.
The science of exercise and nutrition is a rapidly expanding field; students develop a critical knowledge and understanding of fundamental and contemporary issues in relation to physical activity and health and nutrition in health and disease, as well as applying these principles to sporting populations.
Each module is accredited by the Royal College of Physicians, London (RCP) for 20 CPD points.
Programme Structure
The MSc programme consists of six taught modules and a research project/dissertation.
Each taught module involves attendance at a three-day intensive course followed by 12 weeks of home-based learning and the submission of a written assignment, or its equivalent.
Following completion of six taught modules, students commence the research project and the production of a Masters Dissertation.
Five modules are delivered in Dublin, and one module is delivered in Chester.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
