You will also choose three modules from an approved list of modules - these cover a broad range of philosophical topics and reflect the research interests of members of the Department. Current modules include:
o Art and the Mind
o Meta-ethics
o Identity
o Perception
o Causal Powers
o First-Person Thought
o The Problem of Universals
o Free Will and Action

o Essentialism
o Normative Ethics
Please note that all module details are subject to change.
You will also complete a 10,000-15,000 word dissertation on a topic of your choice (subject to the approval of the Head of Department). This dissertation will account for a third of your MA and can be entirely tailored to reflect your interests and personal specialisms.
