The Research Master´s Programme Economics and Business is a two-year Master´s degree programme offered by the Faculties of Management & Organization and Economics. Their joint research school, SOM, is responsible for the organisation of the programme. This Master´s degree will provide students with a thorough grounding in academic research in the fields of economics and business. This English-language research degree is specially designed for students who are looking for an intellectual challenge.

The programme is especially designed for students who are looking for an intellectual challenge and who aim at a scientific career either as a PhD student or as a researcher in a public or private organization.
This Master´s degree will provide you with a thorough grounding in academic research in the fields of economics and business. The program is especially designed for students who are looking for an intellectual challenge and who aim at a scientific career either as a PhD-student or as a researcher in business or governmental organisations.
PhD programme in Economics and Business, jobs with -for example- the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development or the European Central Bank. Research agencies and research departments of large companies.
Contents
Each year, students have to complete 60 European Credits (EC). The first year mainly offers specific courses developed for this programme. In addition, students will be trained in research methodology.
During the second year, courses will be offered that are specifically geared to students in the Top Master´s Programme Economics and Business. Finally, students will write an extensive Master´s thesis based on research conducted under the supervision of an experienced researcher.

* Bachelor´s degree in Economics or Business, or related field.
* Bachelor´s degrees in other fields (i.e. Sociology, Mathematics, Psychology)
* Proficiency in English: TOEFL92 (iBT)/237 (CBT)/580 (PBT) or IELTS 6.5.
Entry is selective, taking into account: talent, motivation, attitude towards doing research, academic results in the Bachelor´s phase, proficiency in English.
