The Master in Digital Marketing Online is a 13-month online program aimed at professionals who are unable to leave their places of residence and work for extended periods of time.
The Master focuses on the tools and skills required of the successful manager within the advertising and communication industry. The program provides you with the specialized skills and knowledge that this unique industry demands.

Lasting 13 months and starting in March, the program is based on two online training periods and three face-to-face periods, each lasting between one and two weeks, providing you with a deep understanding of business and management and a specialized view in digital marketing.
The three face-to-face periods will be held at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of the program. Two face-to-face periods will behosted in our Madrid campus and one in London, home to many of the world´s leading digital marketing agencies. These periods are oriented at providing you with those competencies and skills you will need to become a successful business leader and will help you to establish a close link and network with peers and professors. Some core management and specialized courses will also be held during the face-to-face periods.
The residential periods provide the environment that you will need to work with concepts and skills that require face-to-face interaction between you, the professor and your classmates. These periods consists of seminars focused on skill-building activities, presentations of individual and group projects, and assessment tests to consolidate the work covered over the course of the program.
The world of digital advertising and communications is not bound by borders and your Master program should reflect that. As such, the first and third Face to Face periods will be held at IE's campus in Madrid and London will play host to the second. All these residential periods will last 2 weeks with an estimated dedication of 12 hours per day.
London is the city where the most important advertising, marketing, media and PR companies are based. The main purpose of this period is to have a 360º vision of the Digital Advertising World. To have a complete overview of the "digital advertising and marketing space" we are going to visit the most relevant advertising and marketing agencies, media companies and the Ad:tech Exhibition (All these activities will be combined with several classes taught by IE Business School faculty.
The visits to agencies and companies will allow students to develop their network of contacts within a large number of companies operating within the industry, whilst also contributing to the international experience of the program. These will be some of our the companies we will visit during our residential period in London: Planning Above and Beyod, Minick, Nielsen-Netratings, FT.com and Headshift.
Face to Face Periods
The residential periods provide the environment that you will need to work with concepts and skills that require face-to-face interaction between you, the professor and your classmates. These periods consists of seminars focused on skill-building activities, presentations of individual and group projects, and assessment tests to consolidate the work covered over the course of the program.

Online Periods
Among the residential periods two online periods will be held. To continue the learning process of the program, you will develop your study through the Virtual Campus. This is the focal point for the activities that serve as a communication platform for the study groups and for teacher-led online sessions. You will participate in online forums and discussions and have easy access to the comments, opinions and experiences of professors and fellow students, as well as general information on the program. The online methodology facilitates an active participation and contribution of the students. With the main purpose of having a continue participation and also a continue communication with the other fellows, we will provide you at the beginning of each period a detailed schedule that will make easier your learning process.
This asynchronous form of study promotes the free-flowing communication between professors and students, whilst maintaining the flexibility which is so central to the program. You will participate in your own training right from the start of the course: intensive communication and a methodology that hinges on participation guarantees a high level of motivation and commitment to the program.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.

Our selection process focuses on leadership potential, strong academic ability, and personal qualities and characteristics. The Admissions Committee will consider the following:
* A Bachelor degree from an accredited college/university (or a degree equivalent to 180 Eurocredits).
* Demonstrated professional experience in any field.
* Proficiency in the English language.
* A complete application including all supporting documents.
In order to evaluate each candidature more thoroughly, the Admissions Committee may also require the GMAT/GRE/IE Admissions Test and/or the TOEFL examination.
IE is accredited by the three leading accreditation entities for business education: AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA.
