This course introduces students to all the key aspects of managing a company based in the thriving engineering industry. You will also gain the general management skills necessary for a complete portfolio of management knowledge.
You will develop an integrated understanding of strategic and operations management and develop the appropriateintellectual and personal skills required in a demanding management environment.

This course will help you develop your career in the areas of engineering and business management. Close collaboration with industry will give you an insight into key aspects of managing a company.
You will gain a a broader understanding and knowledge of engineering and business management which can be used in your current role and future career.
Contents
This course has been designed with the needs of full-time students and industrial part-time delegates in mind.
Each course consists of eight taught modules, study skills, research methods and a project.
The course has the following eight taught modules:
* Financial Decision Making and Risk Analysis
* Human Resource Management
* Lean Operations
* Supply Chain Management
* Engineering Strategy
* Project Management
* Quality Management and 6 Sigma
* Sustainability and environmental management systems
In addition the student must satisfactorily complete an individual project.

Requirements
Entry requirements
You will normally be expected to have an honours degree but entry qualifications are flexible and applications are welcomed from for mature candidates and those with industrial experience. We are always willing to talk to you about your experience and to look at how that may be credited against the academic requirements of certain programmes.
Applicants whose first language is not English must have a minimum IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 600 or equivalent.
