The MSc in Manual Therapy is open to HPC and CSP registered physiotherapists who wish to develop and extend their knowledge base and professional expertise in the field of manual therapy.
The course will prepare you for specialist roles within neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy such as extended scope practitioner, clinical specialist and consultant physiotherapy posts and will enhance your career opportunities. Students who successfully complete the postgraduate diploma are eligible to join the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
It is common for our graduates to progress within their chosen career into roles such as extended scope practitioners, clinical specialists, consultants, research specialists and lecturers.
Contents
The course is strongly based on clinical reasoning, research and evidence-based practice, and places an emphasis on the development of clinical skills. The course is taught by research and clinically active academic staff.
Manual Therapy also focuses on manual skills and mentored clinical practice, allowing you to develop confidence and expertise in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal disorders. With many of our students working full-time we ensure our learning pathway is flexible, with study of up to five years part-time available.
IELTS
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

The course is open to physiotherapists with HPC and CSP registration who should have a minimum of one year or 1500 hours post-qualification experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
Students whose first language is not English will be asked to meet the standard requirements for University Entrance at this level which are: ILETS 7 (with no section less than 6.5).
