The Occupational Therapy MSc is designed to enhance the skills of state-registered Occupational Therapists, allowing them to improve their working practices. The course is ideal for those looking to move into research, educational or managerial positions because of the emphasis on advancement of professional knowledge, evidence-based practice and service provision.
Transferable skills: The course will enable you to reflect and critically appraise current practice. You could develop and consolidate skills required for clinical specialist roles and consultant therapist posts. You will gain knowledge of research methodologies and skills, which would enable you to develop a career as a researcher.

On the Occupational Therapy MSc you will focus on the study of the philosophical basis of occupational therapy and the evolving knowledge and skills in the field, and will address your personal and professional development. The course has been designed to meet the needs of occupational therapists and offers a flexible modular structure with students choosing a pattern of enrolment and timescale of study to meet their professional needs.
There is emphasis on the advancement of professional knowledge, evidence-based practice and service provision. You can undertake your studies over 15 months full-time or from two to five years part-time. There are also exit points at Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma levels.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
