The Neurological Occupational Therapy MSc is a highly focused master´s programme that allows occupational therapists to specialise in the field of neurological rehabilitation. The course covers specific therapeutic issues in depth and promotes concepts and practices that will allow you to critically assess current practice.
Transferable Skills: The course will enable you to reflect and critically appraise current practice. You could develop and consolidate skills required for clinical specialist roles and consultant therapist posts. You will gain knowledge of research methodologies and skills, which would enable you to develop a career as a researcher.

Neurological rehabilitation encompasses a wide range of disciplines, however, the focus of this course is to cover specific therapeutic issues in depth. The course supports interdisciplinary practice. All but the core Occupational Therapy module are taught jointly with students enroled on the MSc Neurological Physiotherapy course. After successful completion of these modules, you will proceed to a mentored practice module, which integrates theory and clinical practice.
The course will enable you to develop knowledge of the theoretical concepts of neural control and the principles of neurological rehabilitation.
The course promotes theoretical concepts and professional practice which will enable you to critically appraise current practice.
The course content is reviewed regularly to remain responsive to current practice developments.
Attendance for this course is flexible. You can study for one year full-time and from two to five years part-time, attending the University from as little as one afternoon and up to two days per week.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
