The courses are designed for social and health care staff that are undertaking management roles in the voluntary, private and public sectors. The courses are designed to assist and consolidate the development of management skills necessary for these environments.
This course builds upon the intensive theoretical and practical management skills required in Social and Health Care Management. The focus is to develop more critical, complex management skills to assist managers in a their working environments.
Flexibility, all modules are offered as part of an academic award or on a stand alone basis. Students therefore can study either individual modules or the entire award. Candidates taking individual modules can build these up to the entire award, lthough some time requirements may also apply in this regard.
The course will be available via on-line learning through a combination of live lectures, interactive exercises, individual student and group work. Communication and information technology are widely used to support student learning.
Students will acquire a wide range of transferable skills, providing you with excellent preparation for practice and employment, particularly in the Social and Health Care Management.

Normally professional qualification in social work, health care profession or social care or equivalent with an equivalent demonstration of relevant practice knowledge and ability to study at Postgraduate Level.
Interviews with a member of the course may be undertaken at the University´s discretion to facilitate selection.
Additionally, it is an essential condition for participation that students have access, for the duration of the course, to a PC capable of running Windows XP, Internet Explorer 6 or above, Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint) or compatible software, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Broadband connection (4 mb/s recommended), Webcam (suggested) with microphone and speakers.
Applicants whose first language is not English must have a minimum IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 600 or equivalent.
