The MRes breaks down into approximately 40 per cent taught modules and 60 per cent research in collaboration with an industrial partner. You take three compulsory modules (40 credits) that normally cover: research skills; management and communication; and design and implementation of experiments. You then select three optional modules (30 credits) from a list that includes topics such as: marine production technology; energy management; pollution monitoring; process control systems; sustainable industry; business and environmental management. (Please note that modules may change from year to year.) You also undertake a collaborative research project with an industrial partner (110 credits).
