Location of Newcastle University

We are part of the Institute of Neuroscience and offer research degrees in cognitive and computational neuroscience; evolutionary psychology and behavioural ecology; and in aspects of health psychology as diverse as language and cognitive processes, dyslexia, and the effects of psychosocial factors on disease progression and immune function. We also run the Doctor of Clinical Psychology (DClinPsychol) programme.

This programme is designed to enable recent and mature graduates who have experience of working with children and young people to become fully qualified educational psychologists. Central to the skills developed on the course is the ability to apply psychology and the critical use of research.

The strengths of the Course Team and of the wider School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences are used in the development of inclusive and collaborative approaches in working with children, young people, teachers, parents and other professionals.
