Major areas of current research include: non-linear structural optimisation; non-linear analysis of conventional and non-conventional structures; structural integrity assessment; construction management. General staff interests include: materials engineering.
MPhil/ PhD supervision is normally available in any of our current research areas including: multi-phase flow and coupled multi-field analysis; structural optimisation and reliability; structural textiles and polymeric composites; seismic engineering and extreme loadings; the effects of transient loads on structures; finite element methods; computational mechanics; analysis of lightweight fabric and pneumatic structures.
Please see academic school or institute for more information.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
