THIS COURSE SEEKS TO DEVELOP YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS AS A MANAGER, AND SPECIFICALLY THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED TO MANAGE CULTURAL ORGANISATIONS AND EVENTS.

This course will attract managers in the cultural sector who wish to update their qualifications, or alternatively managers looking for a career change who wish to work for organisations in this sector. It specifically aims to deepen your knowledge of the cultural business environment by examining broad issues such as the arts and regeneration, as well as problems such as sustaining an organization through volunteering and fundraising. Such industry-specific content will be supplemented by an introduction to key management disciplines.

The course will engage you in conceptual thinking, analysis and research; however it seeks to take you beyond the analytical emphasis of many MBA programmes and encourages you to develop and implement creative ideas and solutions to organisational issues.
