The major aim of the two-year Master’s programme and its various study tracks in the second year, is to train physiotherapists in the expert knowledge, insight, skills and professional attitude needed in rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy:
* The certified holder of the Master of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy will be able to apply evidence-based physiotherapy in global health care. Patient assessment and intervention programmes will be developed through clinical reasoning and critical scientific reflection.
* The certified holder of the Master of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy will be able to set up and conduct clinical and applied research independently.
* The certified holder of the Master of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy will be specialized in one of the following fields: sports physiotherapy, manual therapy, paediatric and neurological rehabilitation and rehabilitation in internal disorders or mental health care.

Career prospects
Holding a Master in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy, you can choose a career as a highly specialized self-employed physiotherapist or you can work in health centres, such as hospitals, rehabilitation centres, centres for people with chronic diseases and psychiatric institutions. Moreover, you can work in institutions for special education or for persons with motor disabilities, in consultancy agencies for disabled persons, or in sports clubs. For those aiming for a higher level post in health care and rehabilitation sciences, you can also pursue a research career by obtaining a doctoral degree in the postgraduate phase.

* The certified Master of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy will be able to set up and conduct clinical and applied research on an independent basis.
* The certified Master of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy will be specialized in one of the following fields of expertise: sports physiotherapy, manual therapy, paediatric rehabilitation, geriatric rehabilitation, neuromotor rehabilitation, cardiac/respiratory rehabilitation or psychomotor rehabilitation.

Take testThe candidates should meet the criteria of 'Academic Bachelor in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy'.The candidates should show sufficient knowledge of English as course language. This requests the ability to read, understand, write and speak academic English.
All candidates are invited to participate in an on-line education and evaluation platform and a 'summer school' to evaluate their basic knowledge of rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy and to compensate for eventual background shortcomings, as soon as their application to the program has been advised in a positive way. Depending upon the background of the student, the online platform and summer school will be mandatory.
