The MSc programme offers a variety of courses which reflect the key concerns in developing an effective and flexible workforce, who have the ability to embrace and generate new approaches to care.

The programme aims, through a process of flexible and open learning, to develop self-directed and reflective nurses who have the potential to be future leaders in advancing nursing.

Whilst there are some core subjects, the programme is extremely flexible and is tailored to students' requirements.

Students will have the opportunity to set their own learning objectives, so nurses from all specialist and generalist areas of practice can follow their personal and professional needs and interests. Central to this will be a professional portfolio and innovative forms of assessment.

* Development of opportunities for the synthesis of theory, evidence and practice
