This online programme is jointly offered by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the University of Edinburgh. Health Information Governance concerns the requirements, standards and best practice that apply to the handling of information. This programme provides a comprehensive, innovative, practitioner-based approach to understanding issues around Information Governance in health and social care, with particular emphasis on electronic data management. Elements of the programme are shared with the Health Informatics programme.
The aim of the programme is to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills essential for developing and implementing the Information Governance Agenda in the NHS.
Contents
Delivered entirely online, this programme uses dynamic and interactive Virtual Learning Environments. Students will join a community of learners and use a range of flexible learning methods including participation in discussion forums, online seminars and accessing resources in a range of formats.

Requirements
Students will normally require a good first degree in a relevant subject or an equivalent professional qualification together with a minimum of two years\' relevant work experience.

* TOEFL 580 (with 55 in each section and 4.0 in TWE)
* TOEFL 237 in CBT (with 21 in each section)
* TOEFL-iBT 92 (with at least 20 in each section)
