The key purpose of the MSc Food Policy course is to give you a strong and critical grasp of both the theoretical and empirical aspects of food policy

Teaching and Assessment Full and part-time attendance Lecture sessions, workshops, small group activities and discussions, and whole-class discussions. The lectures are supplemented by occasional guest speakers from the world of food policy. We encourage you to contribute your own experiences and perspectives on the issues under discussion.

Distance learning Text-based learning packages (workbooks) with subject-specific tutor upport. The learning packages are intended to engage you in active learning through a number of activities and exercises with accompanying commentaries.

Course Structure Modules Include

For MSc Food Policy all students must take four core modules:
* Food and public policy
* The political economy of food
* Food, culture and society
* Food, public health and the environment

For MSc Food and Nutrition Policy all students must take three core modules:
* Food and public policy
* Food, culture and society
* Nutrition policy

For MSc Food and Nutrition Policy all students must select one of the following modules:
* The political economy of food
* Food and public health and the environment

IELTS

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.

Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

Requirements

Applicants should normally have a good honours degree (second class honours), or equivalent, and/or have a background or interest in a food-related area of employment or study. Students for whom English is not their first language are required to obtain an IELTS score of 7.
