The course will equip you with the skills, knowledge and capabilities to deliver the National Service Frameworks for Mental Health.
The MSc is recognised by the General Social Care Council (GSCC) for the Higher Specialist/Advanced Award in Social Work. City University London is one of the Higher Education Institute Members of the National Primary Mental Health Worker Training Development Group.
Teaching and Assessment Teaching Teaching and learning involve lecture sessions, workshops, small group activities and discussions.
Assessment Modules are assessed through coursework, reflective practice and the dissertation.

Course Content It is targeted at practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds who are responsible for provision of mental health services.

* Promoting social inclusion and recovery in mental health
* Risk assessment and decision making in mental health
Optional modules:
* Evidence-based Health and Social Care or
* any module from the Society, Violence and Practice or Child and Adolescent Mental Health routes
When you have successfully completed the eight taught modules to achieve 120 credits plus your dissertation, you will qualify for a full Masters degree, or complete eight taught modules to achieve 120 credits and qualify for a postgraduate diploma.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
