This programme covers contemporary aspects of both marine and freshwater systems. It has been designed with strong input from multiple outside bodies including Cefas (Defra), the Environment Agency and Natural England. These organisations have been crucial to the design of the programme to ensure training that links directly to relevant employment opportunities within the UK and abroad.
The programme, taught by leading international researchers, provides insights into a variety of areas relevant to aquatic resource management including biodiversity, environmental law, wildlife and ecosystem management, aquaculture and ecotoxicology, as well as unique field experience aboard the Cefas research vessel “Endeavour”.
The programme will form an ideal grounding for your future career. It has a significant research component which accounts for about half of the programme, as well as professional skills training.
