Biotechnology is an expanding sector providing a range of opportunities for employment. A key shortage exists for skilled scientists who also possess the business skills required for success. This MSc programme will develop both of these areas, delivering you to the forefront of bioscience applications whist building a strong foundation in business practice and development. The programme is run in partnership with the highly regarded University of Exeter Business School, benefiting from their knowledge and skills regarding business management and enterprise.

You will receive a solid background in areas of pharmaceutical, environmental and applied biotechnology. In addition the curriculum is further complemented with modules in business and entrepreneurship, forming an ideal basis for your future career.

Through integral collaboration with key external agencies this MSc ensures the training you receive links directly to relevant employment opportunities within the UK and abroad. The programme incorporates a substantial element of hands-on research experience with enhanced experimental skills being gained alongside experienced research workers. As such, it also prepares you for research and a significant proportion of graduates go on to study for PhDs.
