For most recent graduates, leadership and assuming management responsibilities are goals and challenges at the same time. Executives in general management positions are responsible for budgets; they must understand competition, organizational issues and human resources - all of which requires sound business education in addition to professional studies. The General Management MBA program offers the possibility of acquiring basic business, legal and social knowledge while preparing for a career in management.
The Danube University Krems offers ten years` experience in post-graduate management education. The Technical University, Vienna provides special expertise in business education for engineering and natural science majors.
The first-year program focuses on the basic processes and tools of general management.
The third semester can be continued either in a part-time program in Vienna, or the studies can be carried out full time in a partner university abroad.
A master thesis that you will design and write in the fourth semester will be the culmination of the program.

Second Academic Year Specialized Studies – The third semester can be continued either in the part time program at the Vienna University of Technology and the Danube University Krems, or the studies can be carried out as a full time program in a partner university abroad. * Specialized Studies in Vienna
The Specialized Studies segment of the General Management program in the 3rd semester (2nd year) is conducted in English. Based on the first year subjects of the MBA program, the specialized modules absorb the general management knowledge. The concrete contents of the specialized modules are adapted each year to the changing manager requirements. They are found for example, in the subjects of Financial Management, International Business, Strategic Management, Human Resource Management and Corporate Governance. * Specialized Studies at a Partner University Abroad
Our partner universities make ideal strategic partners for students to take the Specialized Studies segment of the General Management program. The students will be fully immersed in the host university program during their semester abroad. Expenses for the semester abroad are not included in the MBA program fee (student fees, travel and accommodation).

An academic degree (all academic degrees in Austria, all domestic and foreign master`s and bachelor`s degrees, and diplomas from universities for applied sciences) is required along with a minimum of two years` work experience and adequate knowledge of the English language.

Accreditation
According to Austrian law, public universities are not subject to any obligations concerning accreditation. Nevertheless, Danube University Krems requests accreditation for many of its courses by international agencies.
