Assessment
The assessment in all modules is by coursework and a 20,000-word dissertation.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testEntry requirements are as flexible as possible and we are always willing to talk to potential students about their prior qualifications and suitability for admission.
We would generally expect either a degree in Theology, Philosophy, Sociology, Politics, Classics or Ancient History, or some equivalent professional qualification in one of these subjects; or a degree in another subject plus a distinction in the University of Exeter Certificate in Theology (or similar).
The University seeks always to give consideration to qualifications and experience gained in fields other than the strictly academic.
