There are two separate but linked programmes: one for UK-based General Practitioners and one for doctors outside the UK. Successful completion of either programme leads to award of a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology from the University of London.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology was extensively redesigned in 2009 and combines clinical expertise with innovative technology to facilitate first class training in dermatology.
Assessment Students are required to write a dissertation and to pass a written final examination. All students must complete at least 80 per cent of the weekly formative assessments during the year.
This programme covers core aspects of dermatology over a one year period, with particular emphasis on the diagnosis and management of skin disease from a primary care perspective. There are 30 weekly modules, produced by experts in the field. Each module comprises written and audiovisual material and a formative quiz.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testProspective candidates should hold MB BS or a basic medical degree recognised by the University of London, and possess full registration with the GMC. Prior experience in dermatology is desirable but not essential.
Access to a computer with CD drive and internet connection is essential.
Applicants need to have right of abode in the UK (ie have no restriction on their right to stay in the UKthis usually takes the form of UK/EU citizenship, Asylum status, Indefinite Leave to Remain or Exceptional Leave to Remain) and b) have been ordinarily resident in the UK for a minimum of three years prior to the start of the programme.
