Introduction THIS MBA AIMS TO DEVELOP YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS AS A MANAGER, AND SPECIFICALLY THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED IN MANAGING HOSPITALITY ORGANISATIONS SUCH AS HOTELS, RESTAURANTS, AND CONTRACT CATERERS.

The philosophy of the QMU MBA is centred in the practices and methods of the modern professional workplace. While the MBA offers a range of specialist functional and skills based modules, the profound focus is to develop two clear strands in parallel: The Knowledge and skills and the vital capability to; work, lead and excel in a variety of team environments.

We currently offer two variants of the QMU MBA.

The MBA per se is designed for those candidates who wish to engage in a Masters level business qualification. The subject mix is designed to provide the modern manager with the broad spectrum of knowledge and skills required in todays fast paced global business environment. You will engage with subjects ranging from operational issues through to business strategy. Successful completion of the taught elements will allow you design and engage with a business orientated dissertation.
The MBA Hospitality Management is built on our extensive experiences across the hospitality sector. Here you will participate in core modules with other MBA candidates whilst also focusing on specialist Hospitality modules. Successful completion of modules will allow you to undertake a hospitality focused dissertation.
The focus of these two MBAs is on a deep learning, teaching and assessment strategy that specialises in developing team practices. We strongly believe that team approaches define (and will continue to define) the formal and informal systems of the contemporary working environment and experience. Your course will be a combination of specialist entrepreneurial content combined with the generic business knowledge and skills required at a business masters level.
