If you want to develop expertise in Finance and Corporate Governance and take the first steps into developing a career as a Chartered Secretary this programme is ideal for you. The programme offers the opportunity to acquire a higher degree and qualify for graduate status of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators leaving only the related work experience requirement to be completed for full Institute membership.
The course provides the opportunity to study a diverse body of academic and professional agendas that can be classed as finance and corporate governance. In doing so, it will enable you to develop higher level analytical skills, critical ability and the application of theory to practice.
The programme includes aspects of governance from both a societal and institutional focus and addresses the legal framework in which these operate. The finance element includes corporate sectors and financial markets, and the institutional and legislative framework in which finance is raised and employed. Additionally, the programme will include aspects of audit, corporate secretaryship and corporate administration including strategic management.
The course will not only appeal to those who wish to pursue a professional qualification relevant to corporate governance and corporate administration, but also those wishing to enter the field of finance and corporate regulation. ICSA members operate in all fields of the economy including the diverse activities of share regulation, university management, company secretaryship, corporate regulation, banking and finance.

These are normally degrees in accounting and law or similar areas of study, or A professional qualification such as the successful completion of the ICSA Foundation and Pre-Professional Programme and/or ICSA Certificate or Diploma in Business Practice and/or Professional Programme Part I, or equivalent from other professional bodies.
