The LLM programme is for those who hold a law degree, or who have studied disciplines such as business, international relations or political science involving legal components. It is also designed to cater for people with a variety of interests, ranging from recent undergraduates who want to acquire specialist knowledge before starting their careers, to practicing lawyers who wish to complement their work with further study.
This programme offers you the opportunity to develop an expertise in both established and rapidly developing areas of law.
Through the LLM programme you will:
* Extend your systematic understanding of the law together with a critical awareness of current problems and/or research at the forefront of your chosen subject areas.
* Enhance your intellectual, transferable and interpersonal skills as well as developing other postgraduate skills including independent research, the exercise of initiative, and critical awareness of current problems.
* Improve your prospects of professional, commercial, business or academic employment. The Law Society recognizes our LLM programme for the purposes of Continuing Professional Development (16 hours per annum).
