Location of Tilburg University

The Master of Science programme in Accounting offers you in-depth knowledge and understanding in the theory of external financial reporting (financial accounting) and internal financial reporting (management accounting). The programme focuses on the function of accounting as a source of information to aid and control decision-making in business entities.

The programme supplements the core accounting courses with electives from related fields including finance, organisation, and information management, to provide students with basic knowledge about business management. end content_main


Contents

The programme consists of 60 Credits (ECTS), equivalent to 1680 hours of study, offered over two semesters. The first semester starts in September, with exams in December and January. The second semester runs from February to June, but is divided in two. From February to April, you will take the two courses. From April on, you will be able to focus on your Master´s Thesis.

Requirements

In order to have access to the Master's programme in Accounting, you need a solid basis in the following areas:

* Mathematics and Statistics (18 ECTS)
* Academic Training (24 ECTS)
* Economics (12 ECTS)
* Management or Marketing (12 ECTS)
* Finance (12 ECTS)
* Accounting (24 ECTS)

If you meet these requirements, you have a good chance of being accepted to the Master's programme in Accounting. If you have a university Bachelor's degree, but do not meet the requirements mentioned above, Tilburg University offers you the opportunity to enter into the Master's programme in Accounting via a special premaster programme.

Other entry requirements include English language proficiency (IELTS or TOEFL) and GMAT test score. The average GMAT score of admitted students is 600.
