The distinctive feature of Master in Financial Economics programme lies in its holistic approach that incorporates quantitative methods, micro and macroeconomics, statistics and econometrics. The programme aims to broaden students´ understanding of scientific contributions in the field of financial economics, strengthen their analytic and critical thinking skills, and equip them with quantitative finance techniques and complex financial decision-making tools in a rapidly changing macroeconomic environment. Our graduates have solid training in modern financial and economic theory with an ability to apply theoretical concepts and models in practical situations.
Both the programme curriculum and its delivery draw upon the expertise of local and international faculty in the areas of financial economic theory, econometrics, mathematical finance, international finance and regulatory economics. Integrity of this programme is achieved through permanent cooperation with financial industry that helps our students and faculty to understand recent trends and influence developments.
Successful completion of MSc programme in Financial Economics leads to a Master of Science degree in Economics from ISM University of Management and Economics.
The study programme addresses theoretical knowledge and analytical skills required for careers as Financial Analysts, Economists, Financial Managers and Consultants, Fiscal and Monetary Policy Administrators in a broad range of private and public institutions, such as multinational corporations and local business firms, central/commercial banks, investment funds, insurance companies, financial regulatory authorities, government agencies (eg. ministries) and other finance-related institutions at national and international arenas.
The MSc programme also provides a thorough academic foundation for students willing to conduct doctoral research in finance and/or economics and pursue an academic career in these fields.

Master thesis 30 ECTS - The Master`s Degree Programme in Financial Economics is completed with a 30 ECTS-credit master`s thesis.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
