This programme has been designed with substantial input from both industry and the four university partners. It is recognised as the world´s first postgraduate qualification aimed specifically at the needs of system level integration and system-on-chip technology.
The course concentrates on understanding the process of SoC design, the use of IP blocks and the architecture of modern electronic systems. The curriculum provides an opportunity to acquire advanced skills in hardware engineering, embedded software and systems architecture, leading to a highly marketable qualification in electronic systems design.
At the end of the programme, it is expected that students will be able to adapt quickly into the commercial chip design environment as they will have understanding of both the underlying principles and the computer-aided design tools used in this level of electronic design integration.
You will be taught on campus and by distance learning; the curriculum is organised such that compulsory modules develop the core competencies relating to microchip engineering and the integration of hardware and software systems at the semiconductor level. Various optional modules allow the student to diversify into several application areas.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take test1. Documentary evidence of qualifications (degree certificate and transcript). If this is not possible, it should be submitted as soon as possible afterwards.
2. Documentary evidence of competence in written and spoken English, in the form of results from an IELTS or TOEFL test (European and international students). Even if you have been taught in English for your first degree, you will still be required to provide written proof.
* IELTS (6.5 or above with a score of at least 6.0 in each section of the test.)
* TOEFL ((paper-based) 580 or above with at least 55 in all sections and 4.0 in the test of written English; (computer-based) 237 or above with at least 22 in all sections and 4.0 in the essay rating; (internet-based) overall 88 with a minimum of 19 in each section.)
* Cambridge Certificate of proficiency in English (CP)-B
