The Master's Programme in Computer and Systems Sciences at Stockholm University offers you the opportunity to expand your knowledge in IT Systems and programming. You will not only learn the theories, methods and tools but also learn how to practice. At Stockholm University, you learn how to efficiently develop advanced computer systems, software systems, using both agile and standard system development methods.
The programme helps you to develop soft skills along with technical skills such as understanding the needs of users, practicing in group dynamics, and project management. The Programme is to a large extent project and problem oriented.
Career
The programme is suitable for students aiming to become system designers, system developers, software developers, IT project managers, and programmers. Graduates may also enter Ph.D. programmes to pursue career in research.
The Master's Programme in Computer and Systems Sciences at Stockholm University is very diverse and offers you the opportunity to select a specialization or a track that best suits your goals and ambitions. Possible specializations include, but are not limited to, design methodology, current problems within IT, system development, algorithms and programming languages, information security and threats, artificial intelligence, business intelligence, ethical and quality assessment and project leadership. Additionally, you learn the foundations of theory of science and scientific methodology.
Tracks
In the Master’s Programme of Computer and Systems Sciences, you are able to choose one of five distinct programme tracks. These are only examples, you can choose other additional tracks such as a focus on information and communication technologies, IT architecture and design, and business intelligence.

To qualify for this programme, you need to have a Bachelor degree or a degree equal to 180 ECTS.
A minimum of 90 ECTS within computer science, systems science, informatics, or information systems.

* IELTS (International English Language Testing Service)- Academic Module: Overall minimum score of 6.5 (with no section below 5.5).
