The MSc in Housing is a challenging course, which provides students with the range of skills, capacities and expertise needed by housing professionals in the 21st century.
The course aims to engage students with the complexities of housing problems and provide them with the range of skills required to become reflective and responsive ractitioners. While overseas students are welcome to apply, a certain amount of knowledge of British systems will be assumed. The course is not geared towards those wishing to practice in developing countries. In addition to academic staff, a range of external people contribute to the lectures, seminars, workshops and project work that make up the programme including policy makers, housing practitioners, committee members, tenants and consultants.
Assessment is by a wide variety of methods including group and individual work, essays, reports, projects, presentations and examinations. The aim is to provide students with varied opportunities to test their skills and demonstrate their capabilities.

Take testA First or Second Class UK Honours degree in an appropriate subject, or for non-graduates, at least two years' housing experience in a position of responsibility.
For students whose first language is not English, one of the following is usually required: IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 575 (232 for computer-based).
Note: International students pursuing part-time programmes of study are not eligible for Tier 4 (General Student) visas and must have alternative leave to remain in the UK if they intend to study at the University in person.
