The course aims to provide dentists with the opportunity to analyse the need for the management of pain and anxiety in dentistry. Students will develop critical knowledge and advanced understanding of the development of the theories and concepts that underpin the field of conscious sedation. The course has been designed to fulfil contemporary guidelines in conscious sedation, providing future proficient practitioners for the NHS and teachers for educational environments in management of pain and anxiety.

Take testSuitable for postgraduate dental students with a minimum 2:2 Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent and a registerable dental qualification and with an interest in pain and anxiety management in dentistry.
Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to pass either IELTS/TEOFL exams. Minimum requirements are normally IELTS band 7.0 or TOEFL 600 (250 for computer-based test).
