The programme "Advanced Materials and Processes" offers talented students an interdisciplinary Master´s degree course with international orientation. The course focuses on the transfer of engineering insight to materials development and process engineering. It started in the winter term 2005/2006 and is offered by the universities of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Bayreuth and Würzburg. Successful students will be awarded a "Master of Science with honours".

The two-year Master course will not only offer an outstanding interdisciplinary program. Students will also learn key competences for strengthening personality such as presentation techniques, conflict management, creativity, project management and personnel management. This should be an excellent preparation for an executive position in professional life.

Recognizing that new materials play an increasingly important role in the processes of chemical and bioengineering, this elite degree course brings together the disciplines of Materials Science and Chemical and Bioengineering. On the one hand, technical knowledge of materials is of great importance for a seminal education in chemical and bioengineering. On the other hand, new materials are more and more derived from processes of particle technology and biological or chemical process technology. It is therefore essential to network these two disciplines. Therefore this programme offers to students a modular curriculum with following key aspects:

  • Biomaterials and Bioprocessing
  • Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology
  • Computational Materials Science and Process Simulation
  • Advanced Processes

NEW: Full scholarships available!!

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
