Programme objectives and competencies acquired
Ecology and Environmental Studies Master`s Degree Programme is designed to develop students competencies in the investigation of structural and functional changes of hydroecosystems in the context of landscapes and geosystems. The holder of Master`s Qualification Degree in Ecology and Environmental Studies shall be capable of applying modern analysis methods in water ecosystems, with special focus on the modelling of marine systems, shall have skills in the fields of policies and economics of environmental planning, coastal zone management, as well as fisheries and aquaculture.
Professional status
The qualification acquired grants the right to work in accordance with the profession included in the list of professions regulated by the Directives of Ministries of the Republic of Lithuania, or in accordance with any other profession not included in the list of state-regulated professions.

Access to further studies
The recipient can pursue a Doctoral degree studies.
Examination and assessment regulations
The main form of evaluation is an examination. Every courses unit is concluded with either a written or written–oral examination or pass/fail evaluation. Student’s Knowledge and general performance during the exam are evaluated using grading scale from 1 (very poor) to 10 (excellent) or by pass or fail evaluation in the cases when pass/fail evaluation is foreseen as a final evaluation of the course unit.

Requirements
The documents to be submitted by the international applicants for Master programmes studies are basically the same as for the Bachelor degree studies.
* Applicants to the Master programmes must hold a Bachelor degree or its equivalent;
* 2 letters of reference.
