The Master's programme in Actuarial Science and Mathematical Finance is a programme for those wishing to become an actuary designing and monitoring financial security systems.
The Master's programme in Actuarial Science and Mathematical Finance is the only stand-alone Master's degree of its kind offered in the Netherlands. It is completely dedicated to the actuarial profession and taught by leading scholars in the field of actuarial sciences, together with a number of professionals who work in the industry itself. This ensures that you learn the most up-to-date techniques, practices and insights. It is a multidisciplinary programme providing a balanced and rigorous training in the financial and mathematical analysis of complex insurance issues. It focuses on mathematical model-building in the various specialised fields of insurance: life insurance, non-life insurance and pension funds. Because the programme is aimed at helping students develop a scientific attitude and approach, it places a great deal of emphasis on the theoretical foundations of various methods and techniques.
