The PgDip course is organised into eight modules culminating in a Practical Teaching Project. Modules are comprised of a three-day concentrated period of study followed by approximately six weeks of independent study, and completed by a synthesis session during the first half-day of the subsequent module. One of the modules is divided into a variety of different topics spread over three study days, offering students a choice. Modules include: Educational Theories and Methods;
Educational Media; Assessing Students; Evaluation; Educational Research.

Instructional methods are participatory and include group discussions, instructor presentations, tutorials, case studies and practical exercises. The PgDip course is available full-time (one year), part-time (two years). Those continuing onto the MSc qualification undertake a dissertation, with many producing original and interesting work that provides the basis for practical innovations.

The Diploma course is available full-time (one year) and part-time (two years). Those wishing to continue on to gain the MSc qualification then complete a 15-20,000 word dissertation.
