This programme provides a context and support for advanced development in personal creativity and community music skills. It brings together practical work in the community with new and relevant research in the biological, psychological and social sciences.
Learning Outcomes
The programme will:
* familiarise students with relevant theories and models drawn from recent advances in the biological, psychological and social sciences;
* equip students with the know-how to plan and implement community programmes;
* introduce relevant strategies for research and assessment of projects;
* lead to personal creative development and advanced animateur skills.
Students will be taught through workshops, supervised placements, seminars, lectures, tutorials, supervised projects and dissertation.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testNormally a 2:1 degree in music or an equivalent qualification, e.g. a diploma at an equivalent standard from a major conservatory of music. Applicants with a 2:1 degree in a subject other than music can also be considered if the applicant can provide evidence of musical qualifications which guarantee sufficient knowledge of music to take the course, e.g. Grade 8 or a diploma from a recognised examining board. While this is the basic qualification, evidence of commitment to, and ability to learn from, the programme are also sought in the applicant's letter of application, references etc.
