This master´s programme is aimed to provide the knowledge and skills that you need to take a job in a company and contribute to formulate and implement effective corporate and competitive strategies. It covers the processes and techniques for strategic analysis and decision-making, as well as the main challenges of implementation of competitive strategies, internationalisation and diversification strategies, mergers and acquisitions or strategic alliances.
The general objective of this programme is to contribute to the education of a new generation of practitioners and researchers competent to understand science and business as social phenomena and to help guide their ability to formulate and implement effective and socially responsible business strategies.
This master´s programme focuses on the knowledge, abilities and skills that you will need to take a work in a firm or organisation and to contribute to develop effective strategies in complex situations. After successful studies you will be able to combine a rigorous application of strategic analysis techniques, with a broad awareness of strategic thinking, creativity and anticipation. The programme covers two periods of four months and ends with a final period during which you write your master´s thesis.
Moreover, this programme offers the possibility of taking two optional modules. The first one is a research-oriented module that focuses on the development of your research skills in order to start a PhD on business strategy or management. The second one is a practice-oriented module that will allow you to develop your professional skills as a strategist.
The master´s programme pays attention both to the strategic analysis and decision making issues as well as the implementation problematic (organizational design and change, human resources and stakeholders management, legal & financial issues, IT and knowledge management) and strategic control of corporate and competitive strategies, which represent state-of-the-art in strategy and organization research and practice. It will focus on the convenience and implementation challenges of competitive strategies and positioning, as well as international and diversification strategies at a corporate level. You will also learn about the characteristics, processes and implementation problematic of mergers and acquisitions or strategic alliances.
This master offers a practice and process-oriented and progressively structured study programme supported by modern and updated teaching methods. The study programme is characterized by a high level of student involvement and responsibility for your own learning

Minimum admission requirements for master's programmes include a degree from an accredited college/university equivalent to a Bachelor's degree according to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
We welcome Bachelors´ Degrees in Business, Management, Accounting, Finance, or Economics. Other field degrees (e.g. Engineering, Psychology; Law, Philosophy, Philology) are also considered when complemented with practical or professional experience or complementary training in business topics.
Applicants to the master's programme must prove that they have a good command of English (at least B2 level according to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages - CEFR) and Spanish (intermediate level of DELE - Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera), both written and oral. This can be attested by means of an international language test or an interview in English and Spanish with the applicant.
