The MSc in International Business and Economics is an innovative, interdisciplinary and international programme which combines academic excellence in management and economics. The aims and objectives of this Master programme are to:
* Acquire state-of-the-art knowledge of global management and of transnational business processes
* Learn to apply modern theoretical and empirical models of international economics to real world decision problems of internationally active firms or institutions
* Gain a profound education in business procedures and managerial functions within an international framework
* Master the central notions for future managerial functions and economic issues in this interdisciplinary orientated Master
* Acquire transferable qualifications for all operational tasks through thorough training of both hard and soft skills
Prospects and Perspectives
This Master prepares you for a professional career in multinational firms and international organisations in a knowledge-intensive and project-orientated global economy, by optimally endowing you with a set of analytical as well as theoretical tools and skills. As a graduate from our programme you will be well prepared for PhD studies both in management and economics.
The Master programme allows for a significant amount of specialisation in line with individual abilities and interests next to mandatory basic courses. It has a flexible and modular structure suiting students with research-orientated and/or applied interests.
Participants study two major fields: International Business (24 EP) and International Economics (24 EP) including 2 seminars. Seminars might also be offered as joint integrative seminars in cooperation of both research units.
Additionally, one large elective or 2 small electives from a broad range of courses in business administration, economics, law, or social sciences will be chosen.
In the final semester, students take part in a Master colloquium while writing their master thesis.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
