This programme will be of particular interest to teachers who are not yet eligible to undertake the Chartered Teacher programme.
This programmes aims to:
provide students with the opportunity to develop the capacity to appraise and manage their own professional development;
engage in reflection on the nature and effectiveness of current practice with peers from their own or other professional backgrounds;
deepen and broaden students´ familiarity and engagement with new information, perspectives and approaches (both practical and theoretical).
Students undertake modules, which, together with evidence of their professional development and impact gathered through their teaching role, they might use later as the basis for a claim for accreditation of prior learning towards Chartered Teacher status.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the programme, students should be able to use a range of approaches to social and professional enquiry and a variety of methodologies and investigative techniques.
Activities involved include planning, negotiating, implementing and reflecting, carried out through the traditional teaching methods of lectures, including specialist external lectures, workshops and seminars.
Assessment is in the form of assignments, presentations and reports
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testNormally a good honours degree (2.1), or equivalent, in a relevant discipline. Employment or relevant educational experience will also be considered. Applicants whose first language is not English must also meet the language requirements set out in the College webpages.
