As well as University resources, students can rely on the lively Students' Association for support and assistance. The Students' Association plays host to a variety of clubs and societies where students get the chance to make friends, have fun and take a break from their studies.

The University runs a Hillwalking Club that organises outings to many beautiful locations, offering students the opportunity to experience Scotland's stunning scenery off the beaten track. For more information on scheduled walks, equipment/clothing requirements and contact details, please see Health and Safety noticeboards located around Paisley campus (A Block-next to cash machine, D Block foyer, G Block and outside the library).

The University is a member of the national organisation HOST, which offers international students the opportunity to experience the customs and routines of British family life by spending a weekend with a British family. Students can either choose to go to a HOST family close to where they are studying or in a part of Britain that they would like to visit. The only cost to the student is the travel fare to get to their location.
