Jönköping University (JU) is one of three Swedish private, non-profit institutions of higher education with the right to award doctorates. JU operates on the basis of an agreement with the Swedish Government and conforms to national degree regulations and quality requirements. University Library
The University Library provides an inspiring setting which is conducive to studying. It offers high-quality collections in printed and electronic form. Information services are available on location as well as over the internet, and the seminar rooms are open 24 hours a day.
Guaranteed Accomodation
The university guarantees accomodation to international students who have been accepted. Rent can range approximately from 1800 to 3000 SEK per month depending on location, size, furniture, etc. The rent usually includes electricity, heating and water.
Student Health Care
Student Health Care is available free of charge to students during their entire period of study. At Student Health Care you can meet a counsellor, nurse or student chaplain if you need someone to talk to.

Knutpunkten Career Center aims to strengthen the opportunities of students to successfully find appropriate employment upon graduation through meetings with representatives from professional life, career guidance and different activities.
Computer Labs

Jönköping Student Union
There are a number of student associations within Jönköping Student Union, including sports, a choir and a radio station. The Student Union also has its own night club, Akademien, open every Wednesday. The International Association (IA) organizes events such as dinners and trips around Sweden and Scandinavia for both international and Swedish students.
Induction week
During the induction week new students get the opportunity to learn more about the school they will be attending, obtain information about academic and related matters and get to know each other, the campus and Jönköping. Academic, social and cultural activities are included as part of the induction week, which offers a great start to your studies at Jönköping University.
